The Lunar New Year 2025 came to life in an unforgettable way as Stone Mountain Park and the Chinese Cultural School - Atlanta partnered to host a three-weekend celebration on January 25, February 1, and February 8, 2025. Families, friends, and visitors from all around gathered to welcome the Year of the Snake with festivities that honored both heritage and community.
A Celebration of Culture and Tradition
For three weekends, Stone Mountain transformed into a vibrant hub of cultural performances, stunning decorations, and engaging activities. The celebration featured the rhythmic beats of traditional drumming, mesmerizing lion and dragon dances, a captivating parade, and a spectacular light show that illuminated the night sky, adding to the magic of the event. Visitors experienced the rich history of Lunar New Year, enjoying hands-on activities, delicious cuisine, and unforgettable performances.
K-Pop Dance Competition: A Fusion of Cultures
This year, the festival introduced an exciting addition—the K-Pop Dance Competition—where talented performers brought high-energy routines to the stage, blending modern pop culture with Asian traditions. The Awesome Team Foundation was proud to be one of the sponsors of this thrilling competition, supporting young talent and cultural appreciation.
Among the many exciting moments of the event, Ting Chiu, Chairwoman of the Chinese Cultural School and Founder of The Awesome Team Foundation, had the honor of presenting an award to one of the outstanding K-pop winners, recognizing their talent and dedication.
A Community United
Beyond the dazzling performances and competitions, this celebration was a testament to unity and shared traditions. Guests of all ages had the opportunity to engage, learn, and celebrate through interactive Mandarin language tutorials, calligraphy, arts and crafts, souvenirs, and storytelling.

Their commitment to cultural education and celebration ensured that each weekend was not just an event, but a truly meaningful experience for all.
